Kelima is an artist. She creates dresses to beautifully enhance women's bodies and reflect their personalities. Her designs are unique and made with quality materials and care. In a wedding world where it is hard to find a dress that is affordable, yet different from anything else you have ever seen, Kelima is your answer. Not to mention, she was an utter joy to work with. I am SO thrilled I found my dress and will have so much trouble taking it off at the end of my wedding day. Thank you, Kelima!

There are no words to describe the process of working with Kelima to have my wedding dress made. I discovered her a month after I got engaged and immediately fell in love with several aspects of one of her designs. With eleven months to go before my wedding, she encouraged me to look around and go shopping with my mother to make sure that I made the right decision about a dress -- she told me just to give her six months if I did work with her. Shopping for a dress was a nightmare. I went to the nicest boutiques in NYC: Mark Ingram, Bergdorff, Saks. Nobody listened to what I asked to see (one attendant brought me 11 strapless dresses after I started out the appointment by telling her my only stipulation was that my dress not be strapless). After a long day of appointments, I swore to my mother that I wouldn't waste either of our time trying on a single more dress, and I stuck to it. The rest of the experience -- all with Kelima -- was an absolute dream. Kelima is elegant, original, artistic, and creative. She is a perfectionist in her work. My dress truly developed from the first day when we discussed fabric and a basic cut/style until the final fitting -- it was truly amazing to watch a masterpiece evolve as we both contributed thoughts to the design process and addressed even the tiniest of my concerns. I honestly had no interest in finding a wedding dress, nor did I have a clue of what I'd even want, until I met Kelima. She made the process fun, exciting, and special. While it may sound cliched, I'm not sure that I've ever felt more beautiful -- and most importantly, more ME -- than I did when I got married. I danced the night away in style. True to form, Kelima saw to every detail, and the inside of my dress was completley lined in pure silk. Unbeknowst to my guests, I was the most comfortable person in the room in what felt like the comfiest nightgown I've ever worn. Kudos to Kelima. Now that I'm back from my honeymoon, I fully intend to turn my attention to my regular wardrobe with her and can't wait to see what she comes...

The dress I bought online for my casual wedding was not working out after a few alteration mishaps. I found myself 2 weeks before my wedding wandering New York looking for another option. I hopelessly searched many dress boutiques before discovering Kelima's studio. Kelima really took the time to consider what I was looking for. I wanted a dress that was classy, modest, feminine but not girly. After describing what I was envisioning, Kelima pulled a black lace shift dress with delicate sleeves that belled at the elbow. It was perfect! (but black) She offered to make a white version for me to have in time for the wedding. This was so kind of her to do for me so very last minute. Even though timing was tight, Kelima put lots of care into the dress. She helped me choose a shade of white that would enhance my skin tone. She changed a few elements of the dress to tailor it to my personality and shape. The whole process was amazing. Because of Kelima, I had a gorgeous custom made dress that I felt beautiful and comfortable in---all within weeks of meeting her! Kelima is thoughtful, kind and creative. She is a real gift to her industry. Her work is lovely with exquisite detail, you can tell she puts so much care and love into each piece. I can't recommend her enough. She is a true artist. Anyone working with Kelima should consider themselves very very lucky.

Ethereal, elegant, custom-made dresses, although the dress I ended up purchasing was a sample (so actually it was economical for me as well). I also purchased a lovely veil that was flawlessly made, as well as a blue silk organza flower fascinator that garnered me many compliments. There are absolutely no short-cuts taken in the making of each Kelima dress, they are 100% solid couture. She hand signed my garment bag (which I love!)These are *dream dresses* to me, and that you can actually meet and spend 1 on 1 time with the designer is just icing on the wedding cake! Worthy of a special trip, and a whole afternoon.

You could not find a more supportive and friendly wedding dress maker on the planet. Kelima is one of the most generous women I've ever met and from the minute you enter her space you feel like a princess. The entire process was peaceful, easy, beautiful and inspired. Enjoy!

First of all I should say that now, when I think about my wedding, my dress was the least thing I was worried about. Not only that, it was something that I felt so confident about that I did not let anything else worry or upset me on that day. With the dress came my memories about times spent at Kelima K: happiness, warmth, excitement. I first walked into the store without any certain idea of what I was looking for. But after some time, I realized that one of the dresses would be the one. After looking at several of them, I saw a dress that I fell in love with. Kelima was extremely helpful in letting me know which one she thought was the best fit for my figure, face, as well as personality. It was so much fun to go back to the store and experience her Wardrobe Therapy. Kelima showed me the materials she was going to use, and explained why they would work better for my dress. I should also mention that Kelima was very helpful to come up with a more affordable material for the dress. Kelima is not only a gifted designer, but also an amazing person. The quality of the dresses is amazing, and by quality I mean the materials and the work done. It is unfortunate that we get married once in a life. If we decide to get married again in 10 year, just for the fun of it, Kelima K would the place I will fly to right away. Ah, and one more thing, there are gorgeous dresses at the store as well, which are not...

Working with Kelima on my wedding dress was the most enjoyable and satisfying part of planning our wedding. Before starting on my custom dress, we scheduled 2 meetings for what Kelima refers to as Wardrobe Therapy. This experience gave me a chance to reveal to Kelima my interest in certain clothing styles and textile design. In turn Kelima was able to better understand my personality, my style, and the type of dress that suited me best. Kelima even took the time to consider how my desire to use one of my own textile designs could be worked into the design of my dress. This lead to the most unique and one-of-a-kind piece. I could not have imagined a more sincere, thoughtful, and creative experience. I highly recommend working with Kelima. It has been seven years and I am still talking with my friends about how much I appreciated the Wardrobe Therapy process.

I worked with Kelima over the course of about 8 months on my wedding dress. the wardrobe therapy was totally worth it because I was able to get what I wanted, what was suitable for my body with the fabrics that I liked. Kelima's strength is in personalized service, attention to detail and really just making the customer happy!
